Cuddleability

I came across this video on my YouTube recommended.

Whilst obviously watching the whole thing through, I thought: would I be that cuddleable? Though I’ll be using a coarse, stiff and durable natural fabric such as tabby-weave linen or cotton percale for the base layer, those really wouldn’t translate well to the feathers. As for soft fabrics, my knowledge returns three practical options: flannel, polar fleece and minky. I’ll likely have to reduce my plans on boning, too, if I expect to be comfortable to anyone in my immediate physical vicinity.

As of now, I’m inclined to think low-pill polar fleece would be the best bet for the feathers: it’s relatively inexpensive, is still reasonably breathable and will hide stitching and seams a bit better than the other options. Minky is good, but, in my experience, it’s a total pain to machine-sew with. Flannel is my actual top choice, but… is that really as cuddleable, y’know? Maybe I’ll get some friends together and run some tests.
